Odds are

Saturday, April 14th, 2007

Well the other day, a plane had to do a forced landing in an exclusive Golf course. That day I got three phone calls asking if it was me?

On previous occasions over the past four months, their have been other aviation incidents from both Tooradin and Moorabin airports.

Each time an incident gets to the media, people call me to find out if it is me?

Considering I am still alive and talking on the phone, odds are that the fatal accident at Tooradin didn’t involve myself. As Moorabin has over a 1000 student pilots, the odds are still quite small that I was involved in these incidents.

I suppose it is good to know that people care, but I do get the impression that people think I must be dodgy pilot. Go figure.

I am definately glad to be back home. I haven’t sat in the cock pit in over a month, but have been in the air over 75 hours over the last five weeks.

I find it quite amusing how news travels, but I am certain people think I must be a dodgy pilot.

England, Luxembourg, Portugal, Germany, France, and Belgium.

Well I’ve beem to all of those countries now. Got a stack of photographs. I just need to resize some of the goods ones and publish here.

I love the less restrictive speed limits of Europe compared to Victoria, Australia. I think our state government should learn something from the Europeans, and stop being so anal with their speeding law enforcement. Enough rambling.

I am now preparing my hit list with one of our providers, and I will pay them a visit tommorrow. I sure hope they offer me lobster for lunch, along with a few pints of guinness. Time will only tell I guess. I’ve been working all this evening, but making progress. I got a few more countries almost nailed in the domain name ccTLD accreditation process, and then I head back home.

On a positive note, my lost luggage (with Air Portugal) from Portugal to Luexmbourg has been found two days later. So I am much happier about that. Now I just hope VLM don’t loose my bags between Luxembourg and London on Tuesday. I plan to make a quick stop at Westminster, to take a picture of Thames and the clock which is infamously referred to as Big Ben. Big Ben is one of the bells I believe, but it must be done (the picture that is).

I may knock on Tony Blair’s door too, and wish him a wonderful retirement. I’m sure I would be greeted by security personnel from everywhere if I tried, and possibly get myself deported. But other than that, it is 12.24am Europe time, so I must head off to bed.

Hint of the day: Lisbon Portugal has one Kebab/Souvlaki place, and their kebab is average. They do have an unlimited supply of pork and seafood. They may have another place that sells them, but I never did find them. I have a keen nose to hunt down such things.

Downtime Portugal is also a good place to get Hish Hash, Cocaine, and possibly stolen watches. Four hawkers (or pushers) in three street blocks tried doing the hard sell on me, and I politely refused, until hawker number four harrassed me. I gave him the evil look and threatened him with deportation. He kind of got the idea and hurried off.

Now that is a long hint, but threats of deportation can work wonders.
