Weekend in Geelong

Sunday, October 23rd, 2005

Well over the past week, I’ve been flat out busy when my sole trading work. I had to take annual leave from my regular job to catch up. I’ve been having an extended weekend in Geelong, and will head up to Melbourne tonight.

I’ve caught up with my family, Dennis, Donna, Hard Core, Peter, and Daniel, on this visit to Geelong. So I’m pretty happy I got to catch up with a few people.

I will have to try and see Tim and Lucas next time I am down. But it is almost like you need appointments to see both of these dudes, as they have rather time committing jobs.

has insisted I learn more about the .eu name space and policy, so this afternoon I’ve been reading up on it a bit more, and have also begun to sort all of my stuff into files. My filing cabinet will look somewhat organised by tonight; well I think so anyway.

Bachelor Lunch

Monday, October 17th, 2005

Well today… I decided to cook up a big lunch. The classic bangers and mash. Eight potatoes, 3 big bangers, brown onion gravy, garlic, and sun dried tomato mustard, and about an hour later… all is good.

As my digital camera battery is flat, I took it with my phone, so the quality isn’t great. But here is my lunch, and may I add it was delicious.

To be a little healthy (but not too much), the bangers were grilled in an Immortal slow cook fashion.

Long needed sleep

Sunday, October 16th, 2005

After being up a day and half, and working half of that… I finally had 11 hours catch up sleep. I mowed some of the lawn, but mainly did an overhaul of weed poisoning, and pruning plants. After using several pressurised tanks of “Round Up”, I think most of the weeds should die in the next few days. But only time will tell I guess. Since moving to my new place around three months ago, I’ve never seen either of my housemates do any gardening. I think their both indoors type of people. But I don’t mind doing it; it is kind of relaxing, and I’m sure my body will thank me later.

I’ve also managed to play some guitar today, and it is sounding as good as ever. One day I may buy myself a kick arse guitar amp, but that won’t be today.

I’ve had a flat out busy two weeks, but most of that time has been studying some new programming techniques (well they are new to me anyway), and have also been killing my train time reading up on the wonders of the Internet, “DNS and Bind”. But other than that, everything is pretty damn good.

I may consider Brooke’s idea, and invite myself for some of Miles’ supreme cooking. I wonder what he will cook next? I do believe they’re having a party next Friday.. so maybe just maybe, he will cook up a storm. I will also have to wait and see.
